BROTHERHOOD, EXPANSION, INTEGRITY

“My life is dedicated to Jiu-Jitsu. My goal was simply to build a brotherhood to lead the expansion of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu while respecting the essence of our art. My students are an extension of my family. I want each of them to achieve their personal best while helping spread Jiu-Jitsu. We must do that honoring the traditions and efforts of those who came before us.”

STUDENT STORIES

WHAT OUR STUDENTS HAVE TO SAY ABOUT GRACIE BARRA O’FALLON

I spent years bouncing from gym to gym looking for what I found in Gracie Barra. So let me help save you some time and frustration. I competed under olympic world champions (wrestling), and spent time with world champions (boxers), to know a good coach when I see one. Mike Buckels is the only coach in St. Louis I would trust to teach my wife, children, and myself. Both his professionalism and his demand for proper etiquette on and off the mat is why I chose to train with Gracie Barra. The term "you get what you pay for" is more than true. I would pay double for the type of character inside this gym. Professor Buckels invests in the lives of his students. You wont find that anywhere else. Gracie Barra has become family to me!

Structured, organized school with family in mind. Professor Mike and the coaches are great with the kids to keep them engaged, disciplined, and active. Adult classes are well balanced between self-defense and competition Jiu Jitsu. Facility is clean with plenty of space to change and store your gear. Additionally, the dojo's mat is amazing in square footage (easily handling 40+ people in an adult class) and technology (6" suspension flooring). With each student's personal goals and safety in mind, I implicitly entrust Professor Mike and his staff to train my family without worry of injury or judgment.

It's been over a year and a half now at GB and I really enjoy it. Great group of people and really feels like a family. Professor Mike and all the coaches are fantastic and show a great love for the art of jiu-jitsu. The longer you do jiu-jitsu the more you want to learn. Great way to get and stay in shape and make some good friends along the way.
